This year we took in $1225 for salon. ($1075 in 2015, and $1400 in 2014)
Thanks again to all who helped put on Salon. Dennis reported that things went smoother on the technology end this year. There was a discussion around reconsidering the physical setup of the room for future Salons. Also discussed showing slides on loop during dinner with background music.

Social Secretary – Lynn motioned that we make it a practice to send flowers to member only for extraordinary circumstances, on a case by case basis. Continue to send cards for illnesses, etc. Cortney volunteered to be the Social Secretary and deliver cards and flowers as necessary. Motion passed, appointing Cortney and allowing for the purchase of cards and stamps.

New Business

Salon 2017 – Next year’s Salon is May 20th, the weekend before Memorial Day. The final digital night will be the 1st Wednesday, May 3rd. There will be 1 less print night this year. Salon participants should bring prints to the May 3rd meeting. Bev has volunteered to sort prints for judging.

Print Submissions – Barb Murray presented a consideration to lower the print night limit to 2 prints per member. The pros were that it would allow for more space at Salon, and provide an opportunity for a short educational demonstration on print night. Some member only come for digital night, this may encourage more members to come to print night for the presentation. Lynn made a motion to lower the print night limit to 2 prints per member, motion passed 6 yeah, 1 nay(ish).

Meeting adjourned at 6:57 pm.
